Have you heard of Positive Psychology?

It’s been around since 1998, when it was first offered as a university degree.

Since then, scientists have been researching what it takes to elevate your life.

They interviewed thousands of happy people.

What they discovered is mind-blowing:

  • Happy people hold themselves in high regard. They make themselves the priority.
  • They accept 100% responsibility for their wellbeing. (They don’t buy into the blame, shame and victim game)
  • They take care of their spiritual growth. Happy people take time to reflect on the good things of life, allowing their minds to ‘come home into their bodies’ every day.
  • They invest in their intellectual capacity and nurture their intelligence. They remain open and curious about new information.
  • They attend to their financial wellbeing. They spent less than they earn, and they adhere to simplicity, planning for a rainy day, so they enjoy financial peace. They shape secure ‘inexpensive’ children and avoid drama and conflict.
  • They stay in their lane and play according to their own strengths.
  • They don’t just turn up for a job every day, they have the courage to create a career that combines their heart, skill and intent.
  • They adjust easily to new conditions and change what they can.
  • Their agenda consists of 4 main pillars: personal wellness, family sturdiness, professional progress and an interest in the wider community.
  • They don’t rent their lives, they own them.
  • They have a small rear vision mirror and a large windscreen. In other words they don’t buy into escaping to the ‘good old days’, they are intentional about their future.

They are fine with being in their own company.

They understand that they are married to themselves in the first place, and they aim for that relationship to be intact, guiltfree, undemanding and calm.

The best news is that happiness can be learnt like a ‘skill’!

Most of the happy, successful people interviewed weren’t born like that, they learnt it.

They committed to being a student of ‘Happiness Discipline’ and it paid off.

Positive science also discovered that happy people live on average 10 years longer, in better health, and had an extra million dollars in equity, compared to others.

Not only that, but they also enjoyed lasting love over many decades.

That means your mind isn’t confined to your body, it merges with the collective consciousness and beyond that, it is one-with-the-universe.

That’s why its is such a powerful tool!

Let’s dive in:

Step 1

Visualize Health and Wealth Every Day.

Your body doesn’t know the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined.

Your mind is incredibly powerful in shaping your reality.

Years ago, I worked with a client who was facing a cancer diagnosis.

Other than changing her diet, I suggested she create a dedicated healing space in her home where she could retreat every day to bring her mind back home into her body.

Once she was fully present in her body, she could then visualize the cells of her body being completely cancer-free.

She committed to this practice, and within months her liver was cancer-free.

Eventually, her bone cancer also disappeared.

Such is the power of visualization.

It is a superpower, but it doesn’t always come easy, especially when you’re scared, in crisis or in pain.

The secret is to never give up on yourself.

My client’s story is proof of how powerful visualization can be, even for everyday challenges.

You might be facing something as simple as a headache or a looming bill you’re worried about.

Try visualizing yourself in perfect health or by seeing the exact amount of money you need flowing into your bank account.

Imagine energy flowing through you, restoring your body, and seeing your problems dissolve.

Your mind is a powerful tool—use it every day, even if just for five minutes.

Step 2

Trust Your Body’s Blueprint for Perfect Health, Wealth, and Happiness.

Your body already holds the blueprint for perfect health, wealth and happiness.

You just have to trust it and get out of your own way.

The same power that created your body is the same power that heals it.

Surrender to that power and believe that you are already on the path to healing.

Don’t sit around waiting for someone else to save you.

Don’t let worry take over.

Did you know that when your imagination is in conflict with what you consciously want, your imagination will always win?

You have to be very careful about what you allow to take up space in your mind.

Don’t believe a negative diagnosis and be very careful how select your friends. (Avoid toxic, destructive people)

Your thoughts are like visitors—when you welcome the same kind of thoughts (good or bad) over and over again, they become permanent residents.

Your mind shapes your reality, so use it wisely.

One of the best tools for directing your thoughts is affirmations.

Emile Coué, a pioneering doctor in mind-body healing in the early 1900’s taught his patients to repeat, “Every day, in every way, I’m getting better and better.”

He observed that patients could cure themselves more efficiently when they replaced thoughts of illness with thoughts of health.

Affirmations can help you do the same.

You can start with Coué’s classic affirmation or find your perfect affirmation.

Whatever you do, remember: the power to transform your life is already inside of you.

Step 3

Change the Way You Talk About Illness or Problems.

When we first face a challenge or diagnosis, the immediate reaction is panic.

Fear sets in, and the bigger the problem, the more paralyzed we feel.

But what if you could change the way you talk about your challenges?

Instead of seeing illness as something permanent, see it as a process.

For example, if you’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure, don’t say, “I have high blood pressure.”

Instead, say, “I am pressuring (myself).”

If you’re dealing with cancer, say, “My body seems to be tumouring.”

If you have trouble sleeping, don’t say, “I’m an insomniac.”

Say, “I am experiencing a period of wakefulness.”

This shift in language reduces fear and reminds you that what you’re going through is temporary.

You are NOT your illness.

You are simply going through a process that has a beginning, middle, and end.

Step 4

Manage Your Focus.

Thoughts are energy.

Whatever you focus on, you attract.

If you’re constantly focusing on fear, stress, illness or poverty, that’s what you’ll manifest and today we are manifesting faster than ever before.

When you focus on negative outcomes, your body reacts as if the danger is real, and it creates unnecessary stress and illness.

But when you shift your focus to what you want, your body relaxes and begins to heal.

Have you ever noticed that couples trying to conceive often succeed after they stop trying?

Shifting your focus can clear the space for miracles to happen.

Step 5

Practice Gratitude for Yourself and Your Body.

Gratitude is one of the fastest ways to shift your energy into a healing state.

Your body is listening to every thought you have, so when you practice gratitude, you raise your frequency and activate your body’s natural healing abilities.

Your body is already a miraculous self-healing machine.

It knows how to heal cuts, grow new bones, and even repair organs over time.

You don’t have to direct it—your body already knows what to do.

All you have to do is honour it.

Take five minutes every day to focus on gratitude for your body.

Appreciate its ability to heal, grow, and thrive.

The more you express gratitude, the more healing and abundance you attract into your life.
