Your body is the perfect healer!
How come your body sometimes throws in the towel and you end up with pain or illness?
Some people suffer constant pain, even after they have spent thousands of dollars on doctors and specialist’s bills.
What happened to their Inner Healer?
The key reason people remain stuck in pain is because they tuned out to the sensations and feelings of their bodies a long time ago.
And, pain is the only language you respond to; the only way your body can make you sit up and take notice.
Today, I want to show you a simple but important grounding process that will help repair your ‘container’.
Your body is the container for all your sensations, feelings and memories.
Your body is also the boundary separating you from your outer world; and at the same time connecting you with your environment and others.
This boundary gets torn with pain, or ruptured with trauma; so you can end up feeling drained (because you have sprung a leak), raw and overly sensitive; as if you are left without protection similar to a turtle without its shell.
The skin is our first line of defense against intrusions.
We also have another deeper boundary in our body that is created by our muscles and bones.
And to top of off, we also have our energetic boundary, called your aura.
Together these layers give us an enhanced sense of being protected; offering a boundary between what is inside us and what is outside, what is between self and between others.
The exercise in the video is designed to help you become aware of any ruptures of your boundaries; to feel more grounded, safe and secure and supported.
I, often, use this practice with my clients who have spent years living dissociated from their bodies; due to trauma, intrusion, or violation of their boundaries.
They have literally lost touch with their bodies; because at the time of injury or mistreatment, it was safer to leave their bodies and tune out.
However, living in a state of disconnect creates stress, anxiety, and eventually pain and disease; and the only answer is to re-connect; and bit by bit and reclaim ownership of each and every part of your body.
When you reclaim your body, form new boundaries, and begin to tune into the stories hidden in the tissues and cells; you begin to live from a stronger and happier place, regardless of your circumstances.
