How often have you felt that your soul is pulling you in a certain direction?
- You get inspiration…
- You get called to do something…
- You feel all excited…
And then you overthink and start shutting it down…
It is important for us to know that ‘whatever is calling us’ can’t be ignored.
Because it is not you that is calling through you.
It is God or the Universe calling through you!
When you are called to do something, finish a relationship, start a business, start a family, it isn’t your personal will it is the Universe itself giving you that message.
You are the instrument, the Universe is coming through you
You are receiving the call
Here are 4 common mind traps that can really hold us back from living an abundant life:
Mind Trap Number One
You don’t believe it is the Universe giving you a nudge.
The mind thinks that the universe isn’t interested in us like that……. As if we are separate somehow, and then the mind takes credit for the idea and then it loses its power.
The divine intuition has been reduced to a mental construct.
Has that ever happened to you?
Or it can be something that you have wanted to do for a long time … that you have been drawn to and then thoughts come in that contract it….
What is your version of shrinking your purpose or shying away from it?
So that is mind trap number 1 that you shrink a divine message and minimize it by overthinking.
Mind Trap Number Two
You receive a divine message or lesson and your mind says: OH, yes, I have seen or heard that before.
And they don’t really give it any time to drop into the cells of their body, so the message can’t come to fruition, it can’t blossom.
Can you recognize yourself doing this mind trap?
That you are too quick to say: Oh yes, I get that, I have been there and done that before.
And then you believe your mind, your critical comparing mind, that remembers about last time, it sounds like this or that, rather than sitting with the message and see where it takes you this time?
How often do you shut down a divine message?
Then there is spiritual bypass, this is Mind Trap Number 3.
Mind Trap Number Three
Spiritual bypass is going around an issue and pretending it doesn’t matter.
Like an awareness from God/Source comes in and we run it through our ego filters, and perhaps it doesn’t feel so good.
It is bringing up an emotion, perhaps anger or sadness, and instead of sitting with that, or feeling into it, the mind shuts it down, and then we do little things to go around it.
You might think I should be feeling peaceful because I have done some much work on myself, I am so evolved.
So, you do a flower arrangement or cook a nice meal to set a peaceful atmosphere, but underneath it, the energy is festering.
This is a spiritual bypass.
It’s not real peace, it is more like a truce or a ceasefire.
Real peace requires that you come to terms with your anger/sadness/hurt etc.
And then
Mind Trap Number Four
Mind Trap Four is a bit similar, it is meditation.
Meditation is great and necessary, just the same as a daily shower is important.
It trains your mind.
It is like preparing the soil, softening it, and clearing it, so the little seeds that drop into the soil get a chance to awaken and grow.
The mind wants you to believe that meditation is the next leap in consciousness, but it can never be that.
Meditation can lead you to the eye of the needle so ‘something else’ wakes up in you.
This is a bit like a near-death experience because the ego-mind has to ‘die’ or move out the way for the Divine ‘awaken’ in you.
The mind always wants to be center stage, it never wants to be unemployed!
But the mind was never meant to be the master.
It is meant to be your servant.
If these 4 mind traps sound familiar to you, please listen to the video below, where I show you the SOLUTION that works.
You will feel relaxed, calm, and centered by the end of it.
