11 ways to change your habits for the better

Have you ever found yourself in a repeat cycle of yet another painful, unwanted experience?

You really don’t want to go through another agonizing learning experience again.

If this is you, bear with me.

In the video below, I explain why this happens and what you can do about it.

But be warned: it takes brutal honesty with yourself and a commitment to dive deeper than you have ever done before.

Last week I coached two women from different parts of Australia.

They both bemoaned the fact that they had worked so hard to get different results, and yet, here they were in another repeat of the past.

One woman felt betrayed, and the other one failed miserably.

They were very upset, as if the Universe was against them.

The truth is that unwanted situations don’t happen because the Universe is punishing us.

They also don’t happen because the Universe could make something different happen, but it simply chose not to.

We go through repeat difficult experiences because we have Free Will.

The Universe doesn’t have free will, it operates on a set of Laws.

Like the law of gravity.

We wouldn’t want the Universe to have gravity in one place and not another, or ignore the law of gravity in one situation and apply it in the next.

That would create havoc.

When repeat unwanted cycles happen, it is due to the law of mirroring, which is one of the principal laws on earth, and this is also called the law of attraction.

Somewhere along the line, in spite of our best efforts, we created this situation.

We are all creators, whether we are a conscious creator, or an unconscious creator.

Most of our unwanted experiences come from deep inside our subconscious and the Universe holds a mirror to say:

Hey, this is going on inside your subconscious mind, you have a sabotage, or a glitch here, can you please sit up and take notice and do something about it?

When we re-manifest an unwanted situation, it is really a healing experience.

To change these unwanted cycles, we first need to:

  • Admit we have a problem
  • If it happened despite all our best efforts, it’s a subconscious sabotage.
  • This glitch makes us the perfect match to bring about that unwanted thing in the first place
  • It is a learning opportunity
  • We need to learn what we want, which is usually the opposite to the painful experience.

For instance,

Instead of betrayal, you want loyalty and transparency and instead of failure, you want success.

Instead of feeling overlooked and undervalued, you want to be seen, acknowledged and appreciated, and admired even.

Instead of feeling undermined, you want to feel supported.

Instead of disconnect, you are looking for deep connection.

Instead of hurt, you want to feel healthy and comfortable.

Instead of experiencing abuse and mistreatment, you want to experience safety, security and protection.

And so on.

So we are meant to learn to focus on the opposite and doing what it takes to created the opposite wanted thing.

  • The Universe has no free will, it can’t give us something if we lack awareness of its existence, and that we deserve is.

For instance, I have worked with many women who had been raped, pillaged, and abused and they sought my help because they were always attracting more of the same.

The thing is, they had no awareness of feeling safe and secure.

They had never experienced it, the notion was completely absent in their subconscious mind.

As soon as we brought awareness to this, their entire life situation changed because now they realized it was their birth right and the Universe was able to deliver.

How can you actualize the next step in what you truly want?

Once you have figured out what you truly want (this may take a bit of time, but it is usually the opposite of what you are experiencing) you need to change the thoughts, behaviours, actions and habits that make you attract that unwanted thing, person or situation.

To change a habit usually takes massive action, and sadly, many people don’t have what it takes.

They don’t take their own sabotages seriously.

Or they don’t think they are worthy of better results.

They feel they don’t deserve their own love, attention or care.

Don’t be like that!

Choose to be different.

Here are some suggestions of how you can change your habits, so your life changes in positive ways:

1. Swap out alcohol, soft and toxic energy drinks for water.

Your body will thank you for it.

Your body is the subconscious mind remember?

Your subconscious mind is the goal getter. (While your conscious mind is the goal setter.)

2. Quit junk food and anti-life snacks and have homemade foods instead.

3. See every failure as feedback.

At least you had a go.

The most famously successful people failed 1000x times more than the average person.

They just never gave up; every failure brings you closer to your success.

4. Stop overthinking.

Move your body instead.

5. Stop blaming yourself and others, you give all your power away when you blame.

Take responsibility instead.

You are one hundred percent responsible for your reality.

6. Swap out toxic friendships for mentors.

Today, you can listen to the brightest mentors for free on YouTube or podcasts.

I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in mentors, and every dollar I invested in myself came back to me a hundred fold.

I want my trajectory to be different to my parents and ancestors.

They did the best they could under the circumstances, but today I have the opportunity to exponentially grow and evolve and I am so grateful for that.

7. Stop complaining and change your words and thoughts to words of gratitude instead.

It is simple.

Just say: I am so happy and grateful and keep repeating this over and over.

8. Watch less TV and social media.

The average Aussie spends 11 hours per day on social media.

Have a forest bath instead or a walk in nature.

9. Stop hanging out with fake people and watch and observe inspiring creators instead.

10. Meditate.

It doesn’t matter in which way or form you meditate, keep at it and you will suddenly be able to connect with your own consciousness, which is waiting for your attention behind all the dramas and distractions of life.

11. Which reminds me: the energy of drama is the opposite to the energy of abundance.

Choose abundance!

Stay away from drama, as much as you can.
