There is no greater love than shared love!
On the other side of the spectrum, we have division, loneliness, and conflict, caused by the ‘divide and conquer” tactics of the world we grew up in.
Divide and conquer also exist inside of our bodies.
Our immune system, our confidence, and self-worth is deeply affected by fragmentation.
Today, I want to give you a crash course on ‘parts’, ‘splits’, or fragmentation.
Stick with me, because the meditation at the end will make you feel a lot better.
When I introduce myself, I say: ‘Hi, I am Grada’.
This creates the impression that I am one single personality, but this is actually not the truth.
The reality is that none of us are one singular stream of consciousness.
It is true that we all have one body, one soul, and one spirit.
But within that one body, we have multiple selves, a bit like Siamese twins.
They share one body, but each one has its own identity, with its own tastes, likes, and dislikes, need, desires, talents, gifts, and weaknesses.
Every person I have met in my life has multiple personalities.
If you don’t believe me, think about the many times you have behaved differently at home with your parents, to when you hang out with friends in the pub.
You might even show one side of yourself to one parent, and hide this behaviour from the other parent.
How many people behave totally differently at their work than at home?
You have heard of the saying: “He/She is a street angel and home devil?”
You show up your best self professionally, and at home, you neglect your spouse or loved ones.
Or you might be the person that makes the best, loyal dependable friend, and yet at home, in your own time, you treat yourself with contempt and hostility.
How many people can’t make a decision because they feel torn in all directions?
These are all indications that we have multiple selves, operating within us at any given time.
Childhood trauma is the primary cause of fragmentation of the psyche.
And on the very physical level, each cell in your body has an individual consciousness as well.
Every organ is made up of those cells and has its own consciousness too.
Problems begin when different parts of us are in conflict with each other.
For instance, parts of your immune system want you to be super healthy, and another part wants you to die.
Some cells in your liver want to become cancerous, and the surrounding cells want to be healthy.
Looking at it this way, it’s a miracle we are as healthy and sane as we are!
Inner peace and good health can be achieved when we do our inner work.
When we become conscious of a different part, pay attention to it, and allow it to re-integrate into our system.
Inner peace simply means, that all these Siamese twins, splits, or fragments coexist harmoniously within the one body.
They’re in alignment instead of in a state of opposition to one another.
This can be achieved by doing parts integration, shadow work, inner child work, guided meditation, energy healing, introspective journaling, and so on.
When I work with clients, I practice all of these and more, to help you become conscious of these parts, or forgotten inner selves, so they can come home, and you can heal.
I have a very good reason for why I do work with fragments within the psyche the way that I do it because I had to heal myself from deep trauma.
I have written about my journey in my book: You are the Miracle! How being hit by a truck saved my life. (Available at Amazon or Purple House Online Store)
Most of your issues in life, where you’re feeling a lot of pain or conflict is a result of these internal parts being against each other.
Therefore, what I’m going to share with you today here in a second, is in the ‘shared love’ meditation will increase your inner peace.
