Guilty as charged!
Today I want to help you by bringing more awareness to the energy of guilt.
Guilt has been a constant companion in my life, like music in the background.
For many years, I didn’t know how to release it.
If I worked really hard and kept busy I would feel a reprieve, I would feel better, but if I stopped, it would punch me in the stomach again.
Thankfully, I have since mastered the skill of not being sucked into the emotional spiral of guilt.
But it is so deeply programmed into my psyche, that it’s something I will always have to be on the lookout for.
Where do you have to watch guilt, so it doesn’t take you for a guilt trip?
What is your Achilles heel?
Be brave and share it in the comments.
For me, I usually begin to feel guilty by Monday afternoon, because it’s been 3 whole days since I worked with clients.
Monday is usually my writing day, and that is fun.
Other people might see it as work, but I love writing and researching.
If I am having too much fun, the guilt meter creeps up.
When do YOU notice more guilt?
When do you feel completely guilt-free?
And isn’t that a liberating feeling?
Get a pen and paper and write down what comes to mind.
Here are the 5 areas of your life you can look at: I am talking about the five F words.
- Finance
- Fun
- Faith
- Family
- Fitness
These five areas of your life function like cylinders in an engine.
Guilt can cause you to leak oil or blow a piston, and the power of your engine suffers.
You are leaking energy and blowing a lot of smoke!
For instance, many of my clients feel guilty towards their kids, they didn’t do a good enough job as a parent.
Or you feel guilty about not saying goodbye to a friend or loved one who passed over. (I want you to know that our loved ones are with you all the time, so you can talk to them directly now, and say all the words you missed out on earlier)
Guilt is often all about obligations, the shoulds or should-haves in life and it is nothing to do with life force.
Does that sound familiar?
You are not alone!
It’s been kind of being drummed into us from birth, by parents, school, religions, you name it.
It is such low and dense energy that it plays havoc with your ability to enjoy life, connect deeply with your loved ones, and it undermines your health and wealth.
The other side of the spectrum is all about the antidotes to guilt, so let me share them with you in this video.
Thank you for watching!
