You are meant to be a dreamer!
Another word for ‘dreamer’ is ‘visionary’ so if that feels better, replace the word ‘dream’ for ‘vision’.
All kids have dreams and what’s more, they totally believe in their dreams.
This is what makes their lives so magical.
So, if your adult life lacks a bit of magic, become like that child you used to be.
Today, I want to give you some critical insight on how I achieved some of my big dreams.
For instance my Trilogy.
I wrote three enormous books, each book is really the size of 2 books, so that means the Trilogy really contains the effort of 6 normal size books.
In the video below, I will give the background story and help you understand how Dreams can turn into reality for you as well.
Did you know that we have two minds?
We have our conscious mind (which comprises of about 1% of us) and our subconscious mind (99% of who we are).
Your conscious mind creates the dream.
Your unconscious mind is meant to go after it.
I didn’t understand this for a long time!
I used to think that if I used lots of grunt and effort, I was going to manifest one dream after another.
It would frustrate me if my vision didn’t unfold the way I expected.
Despite massive effort on my part, some of my dreams fell flat.
About 25 years ago, I attended a workshop that explained exactly how the subconscious mind operates, and I haven’t looked back since.
For most people the subconscious mind is something to be despised, or to be wary of, or to be ignored, which is ridiculous when you think about it.
Why would you choose to have a human experience of planet earth and then ignore or despise 99% of who you are, or how you operate, causing you to lead a life of pain and frustration?
Let me start with 3 important points about your subconscious mind.
1. Your subconscious mind is here to protect you.
Its number one job is to protect you it will do anything in its power to keep you safe, this is to your detriment but also to your benefit.
To your detriment because if your subconscious mind thinks: no that dream is going to make you stand out, and standing out isn’t safe, it will do anything in its power to thwart your success.
2. Your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between past, present and future, this is why we experience trauma as if it is happening right now, but this is also why can heal the trauma right now.
We can heal our entire history!
3. Your subconscious mind speaks in metaphors, in emotions, feelings, in physical sensation, colour, pictures and it doesn’t speak in literal terms.
At night it talks to us in dreams.
That means that we can reach out to our subconscious mind with your conscious, educated mind, by giving it a dream or vision, because it gets it.
Dreams are never literal, they are always symbolic and your subconscious mind understands dreams.
It’s the language it speaks.
How do you know if your subconscious mind is supporting you?
It means that things are happening, there is forward movement.
If you have to work hard for it, and it’s a real struggle, it means that your internal programming inside your subconscious mind doesn’t support your destination.
What makes life complicated is that the subconscious mind runs on the programs that were installed into us in the first 7 years of our lives.
So we took on our parents programs, and they in turn copied their parents and so on.
This is why it is so important to WAKE up to the patterns and issues we experience in our lives, because that is often the only clue we have as to what programs we run on.
These programs either cause us to grow and thrive, or they keep us in contraction and survival, leading a life of resignation.
If your conscious and subconscious mind are in conflict, the subconscious mind always wins, because it is as powerful as our galaxy.
By comparison, your conscious mind is as powerful as a car engine.
Still very powerful, but nothing like the entire Universe!
So, how can you change all this?
A powerful dream can release you from the quagmire and ignite something in you to take action or to seek help, or to WANT change.
So a dream can be very general.
What follows next is that you need to set some goals, or stepping stones that work toward the fruition of your dream.
If you want to own a house, you start putting some money away into a locked account.
OR you rent out a room in your house, do an extra shift, or find an extra stream of revenue.
It might be exhausting at times, but you know you are working towards your dream, and this gives you the energy to keep going. (The Universe gives you the energy, because it loves to help you fulfil your dreams).
When I decided to write my first book, You are the Miracle, how being hit by a truck saved my life, I was lying on the hot tarmac after being struck down by a truck.
The vision of it spontaneously appeared.
It took me 10 years to get started.
The dream never went away.
I knew I was going to start one day, and finish it.
I didn’t know how.
The how comes later.
So often we squash our dreams because we immediately think of the ‘hows’ and give up.
Never give up on your dreams.

Things to remember from this post:
Your educated, conscious mind acts like the spark; it comes up with a creative idea for instance.
But remember it is only 1% of the real you.
It is the noisy thinking part.
The subconscious mind is the ‘goal getter’ and is the realm of miracles, feelings, sensations, emotions and self-talk and it is driven by habits and routines.
You can achieve anything you put your mind to by aligning your two minds, turn them into allies, rather than enemies.
