One of my clients wanted to know “if she was living the right life?”
Have you ever wondered about that for yourself?
Do YOU know if you are living the life “you are meant to live”?
I read a story about a man, who went on a quest to find an answer to this question.
“I don’t want to live a half-dead life; I want to suck the marrow out to the bone; I want to make sure I get every drop of life from this life.” He spoke.
He went on to live in the woods where he treated life as an experiment.
He wanted to live with greater lightness, to learn what life had to teach him, and not be on his deathbed and realize that he had not really lived.
I guess that my client had the same fear.
Today, I want to give you some pointers to give you that sense of lightness that the man got from living in the woods.
Because let’s be honest, not everyone can just get up and leave, to create a life-altering experiment.
How do you know you are on the right track with life?
The first thing that springs to my mind, is that it feels very freeing.
You don’t feel trapped.
If your life isn’t feeling very free at the moment, you can change it by noticing how you make your decisions.
With every decision you make, ask yourself: is this coming from a place of fear or a place of love?
It is a fact that most humans wake up on a fear frequency, go through the motions of the day, and go to bed at night still in that same constricting fear-based energy.
Another great way to put it is:
- What would I do right now if I really loved myself?
- What would a person who loved herself do in this situation?
This will begin to change your trajectory in life, when you begin to make decisions coming from a place of love, including self-love.
For me, love feels the same as passion, joy, inspiration, freedom, energy flow.
You know you are living the right life when it doesn’t run you down, or wear you down.
Yes, you can feel tired at the end of the day, but it’s not tense tiredness, where you go to bed dreading the morning.
You go to bed satisfied with the day, looking forward to tomorrow’s adventures.
And, when you sleep at night, your batteries are recharged easily.
You know you are living the right life when it feels freeing to speak your truth, even if it is different from other people.
When your relationship feels freeing, not binding or constricting when your partner wants for you what you want for yourself.
When they are happy for you when you are thriving and doing well, and they are not resentful.
You know you are living the right life, when you are doing what you were put on the planet to do, following your soul’s calling, and you know that you are on the right track because it is easy for you to feel joy.
Many of us have periods of time where we feel we are right on track, living at the right place at the right time, and then there are times when it all feels so wrong.
If this is you, don’t despair!
Happy changes can happen in your life when you learn to come from your vision, rather than from your conditions.
What does that mean for you?
This means that if your circumstances are hemming you in, you are feeling hindered and living in resistance, rather than in a sense of freedom, you need to get totally delusional in your mind and start visualizing a life that you love living.
A wonderful life, abundant in every area.
Create a powerful visual of your ideal life, and it can be completely outside of your current reality.
For instance:
- If you are ill, visualize yourself vibrantly healthy.
- If you can’t pay your bills, see yourself stuffing banknotes in your pockets, and so on.
- If you feel lonely or abandoned, imagine yourself with somebody who truly loves and respects you.
- If you feel longing or sadness, imagine yourself bubbling over with joy and laughter.
Do this as an experiment and watch your circumstances change.
The most difficult thing for humans is to focus on what we want, not on what we don’t want, because we are wired to worry about the negatives, to keep us safe.
But there is more to life than playing it safe!
Life is meant for living!
